Valve released Half-Life 2 and Day of Defeat for Linux

Since the release of Steam for Linux, new Linux games are being continuously announced for this gaming platform. Now, shortly after the release of Humble Bundle V including 7 Linux titles which can be redeemed on Steam, Valve has made Day of Defeat and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch available for Linux on Steam. Both games belong to the team-based multiplayer first-person shooter genre. Day of Defeat uses a 2nd World War scenery as a game background and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch takes place in the Half-Life 2 universe. Both games are based on the Valve's Source engine and can be installed on Linux using Steam.
